Problem & context

The first version handled basic AR placement but gesture reliability and real-time camera interaction were rough on everyday phones. A full rewrite was the cleaner path forward.

What we shipped

A v2 reimplementation focused on gesture accuracy, stable AR anchoring, and smooth camera performance on mid-tier devices. The new codebase gave us a clean foundation rather than patching an unstable one.

How we approach delivery

The v2 branch started from a separate codebase line rather than incrementally patching the original. Heavy image processing stays off the main thread; AR anchoring is validated before any UI interaction fires.

Built for real-world use

AR that stutters or misplaces furniture on the first tap kills the experience. The v2 rewrite prioritized gesture reliability and real-time camera interaction before adding any new features.
